With v1.4.0-pre, AGYNAMIX Invoicer becomes noticeably stronger in two key areas: more day-to-day stability and the first public launch of experimental client-server mode. On top of that, several high-frequency workflows now feel faster, more direct, and more comfortable to use.

Highlights

Client-server moves into its next phase

  • Client-server operation is now publicly available as an experimental mode, not just technical groundwork behind the scenes.
  • This moves AGYNAMIX Invoicer much closer to practical multi-workstation usage.
  • Host/client setup, connection flows, reconnect behavior, and many remote workflows were deliberately hardened so getting started feels far smoother.
  • In short: this release turns “technically prepared” into something teams can begin trying in real environments.

More stable in daily use, more reliable in the details

  • A large part of this release is made up of many small and medium improvements that add up to a clearly better experience.
  • Failure paths were softened, setup flows made more robust, and problematic edge cases cleaned up.
  • Especially in the parts of the product people use every day, the application now feels steadier, more trustworthy, and less disruptive.

Linux/X11: no more unexpectedly frozen UI

  • On affected Linux/X11 systems, the UI could become sluggish or fully unresponsive in certain situations.
  • That issue is now addressed directly by applying the workaround very early during startup.
  • The result is a much more dependable desktop experience on Linux, especially where these stalls previously interrupted normal work.

Partial corrections are now much more practical

  • Corrections can now be created much more precisely: you can choose which line items should be included in the correction draft.
  • That turns manual cleanup into a clear, guided step.
  • For partial corrections, this is a real usability win because it gets you to the intended result much faster.

Date fields now work the way users expect

  • Date fields now support direct keyboard entry.
  • In English locales, inputs such as 3/5 or 03/05/2026 can be entered directly for much faster handling.
  • On top of that, clicking the leading date icon immediately sets the value to today.
  • Together, these changes make common tasks like setting document dates, due dates, and payment dates feel significantly quicker.

S3 archive storage is now fully released

  • The S3 archive backend is leaving experimental status and is now available as a regular feature.
  • That makes AGYNAMIX Invoicer even more attractive for NAS-based setups, external archive targets, and professional compliance-focused environments.
  • Setup, validation, and archive/export integration were improved further so the feature feels much more production-ready in real-world use.

Faster, more transparent startup phase

  • Startup has improved as well.
  • The splash screen, initialization flow, and startup transparency were refined so the application feels more modern and more responsive from the beginning.
  • We are still not fully where we want to be on startup time, but this release is a clear step forward.

More quality below the surface

  • Additional improvements touch exports, PDF workflows, audit-log/verification paths, disconnect handling, and several settings-related wizards.
  • Test coverage was expanded in parallel, helping ensure these improvements remain stable over time rather than just looking good on paper.
